陳艮珊Chan Kan Shan , Alice

Chan Kan Shan, Alice is a 2015 graduate from Hong Kong Baptist University majoring in Visual Arts. Being recognized in her outstanding performance in ceramics, she received the “2015Giant Year Gallery Award”. She also got her first group exhibition “2015 Contemporary Asian Ceramics Exchange Exhibition” in Hangzhou. Her ceramic works have also been selected into HKUMS 30th Anniversary Endowment Fund exhibition “Senses “which is an exhibition for young emerging HK artists in 2015.

Her works intend to use ceramic as a medium to explore the issue on self and contradictory state of concealment and exposure by using tiny thorn-like units and body moulding technique. Delicateness, repetition and aggression are usually found throughout her works.

 

陳艮珊在2015年畢業於香港浸會大學視覺藝術院，她在2015年的畢業展獲得巨年藝廊獎在陶瓷藝術表現卓越。她曾參與在杭州舉辨的“2015亞洲現代陶藝交流展”及作品在2015年入選展示香港新晉藝術家作品的三十年香港大學美術學會慈善展“而立”。陳氏作品以陶瓷藝術作為媒介多以細小的刺狀泥條和身體倒模形式探索自我及暴露與隱藏的矛盾狀態。她的作品常展示出脆弱、重複和攻擊性。
